11/2 C Shortening
3/4 C Dark Brown Sugar
2 eggs
1/2 C Molasses
1 t Rum flavoring
1/4 C Coconut
1/4 C Sesame Seeds
1/4 C Sunflower Seeds
1 C White Flour
1 1/2 C Buckwheat Flour
1 C Rye Flour
1/2 t Baking Soda
1/4 t Salt
1/2 t Cinamon
1/2 t Cloves
1/4 C Milk

Cream sugar and shortning together, then add the eggs and other liquids.

Sift dry ingredients together.

Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix with electric mixer.

Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet

Bake 8 minutes at 350°, exchange top and bottom cookie sheets, then bake for 8 more minutes

I found this recipe hidden in my card file. It's in my handwriting and titled Ralph's Pfeffernüsse, so apparantly I invented it about thirty years ago when I was experimenting with non-wheat flours. Darned if I remember doing it, but they have been a big hit at the concerts.
