ALMOND JOY COOKIES

2 Sticks Margerine
1 C Cocoa
2 C Sugar
4 eggs
1 t Vanilla

3 1/2 C Flour
2 t Baking Powder
1/2 t Salt
1 C Chipped Unsweetened Coconut
1 C Whole Almonds

Melt the margerine and whisk in the cocoa until smooth

When the chocolate mixture is cooled, beat in the eggs two at a time

Beat in the sugar and vanilla

Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt, then add the coconut and almonds

Beat together until evenly mixed.

Bake at at 350° for 8 minutes, exchange top and bottom trays, then bake for another 8 minutes
