ALMOND JOY COOKIES

2 Sticks Margerine
1 C Cocoa
2 C Sugar
4 eggs
1 t Vanilla

3 1/2 C Flour
2 t Baking Powder
1/2 t Salt
1 C Chipped Unsweetened Coconut
1 C Whole Almonds

Melt the margerine and whisk in the cocoa until smooth

When the chocolate mixture is cooled, beat in the eggs two at a time

Beat in the sugar and vanilla

Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt, then add the coconut and almonds

Beat together until evenly mixed.

Bake at at 350 for 8 minutes, exchange top and bottom trays, then bake for another 8 minutes
